I have made it a priority to protect the interests of the citizens of Portland. You told me that you wanted more retail, restaurants, and to keep Portland a safe community. Since I was elected in 2018 I have been able to help make that happen with:
- Chick-fil-a
- Removal of K-Mart
- New Animal Control Facility
- Community Center Expansion Project
- Expansion of Christmas in Portland
- Increased the number of First Responders

Keeping taxes low has always been and will always be a high priority for me. We have had very little fluctuation in the City's adopted tax rate since I was elected. We have also been able to keep Portland with one of the lowest tax rates in our region:

Fighting for Portland
We have had several issues over the past four years that have either affected or had the ability to be a major burden on our community. I have had the privilege to fight for the following issues:
- Stopping the Unfair Taxation of the proposed San Patricio Hospital District.
- Passing legislation for a Entertainment Zone with the TABC.
- Passing an ordinance requiring permits for submergible land within Portland's city limits.
- Working with City Staff and the leader of Corpus Christi on expanding Portland's ETJ allowing for future growth.
